- Battery load test and charging system check — old batteries fail on the water, not in the shop.
- Fuel system inspection including primer bulb condition, tank vent, and lines for ethanol damage.
- Throttle, reverse gate, and handlebar linkage inspection — mechanical failures that show up at speed.
